Published under the authority of the Watch Committee of Public Works Standards, Inc., the Work Area Traffic Control Handbook is the product of a dedicated, 13-member committee comprised of leading experts in traffic control and safety. This valuable pocket-sized handbook has become the leading source of information for traffic control in construction work areas on local and county roads.

This handbook is intended to provide standards and guidelines for Temporary Traffic Control zones (TTC zones). The WATCH provides quick reference traffic control guidelines for work activities for contractors, cities, counties, utilities and other agencies responsible for such work. This handbook is in compliance with the edition of the California MUTCD adopted as of January 13, 2012.
